The way rest is computed in NuvolOps changed in April 2023. To see the differences between the current and previous systems, check this article.

This page covers how the rest is currently computed for crew members.

How is rest computed?

To compute the rest we consider:

  1. All rest events, according to what’s defined in the current OM

  2. All empty space (i.e. all the time a crew member doesn’t have any calendar event scheduled)

What parts of NuvolOps are affected?

Rest information includes cumulative days off and hours since weekly rest.

This can be seen in the following places in NuvolOps:

  1. Crew Board (after scheduling and in the crew member’s information)

    1. Rest in Crew Board has used this method since it was released in Jan 2021

  2. Staff Center - Stats page

  3. Staff Center - FTL Report, if applicable depending on each Operator’s configuration

Days Off

Days Off events are no longer needed to compute the rest, as all the empty space is considered rest as well.
