The Force Save will be triggered both on Multi-Crew Scheduling and Augmented Crew Scheduling on the following scenarios:

  • Min rest of the current FDP or Duty overlaps with another Duty event

  • Min rest of the next FDP overlaps with this FDP or Duty period

  • Max FDP exceedance

  1. The Crew Board will show a warning about the FTL regulation not being applied, when one of the above scenarios is triggered on the scheduling process. (screenshot 1).

  2. Click “Continue”

  3. Different options will be available. If not available in the specific scenario will be grey-out (screenshot 2. 1)
    a) Add this flight leg to the previous FDP
    b) Add this flight leg to the next FDP
    c) Create a new FDP

  4. The overrides will also be available. If updated, the Crew Board will recalculate the FDP and the Force Save might not be longer an option. (screenshot 2. 2)

  5. Click “Save” (screenshot 2. 3).
If “Skip Force Save” is chosen the system won’t schedule this crew member for this particular leg and will continue the scheduling process for the rest of the crew members and legs selected.

  6. When an FDP or an event is “On Hold” or in “Review Required”, it will be displayed in a different colour and pattern (screenshot 3). The FDP colour status will change whether the Force Save is “approved” or “rejected”

  7. Review Warnings

  8. Click “Finish”
