Create an Airport

1. Navigate to an Airport and click New
   On the Lightning version, if the Airport object is not displayed in the tabs bar, go to App > Search App and Item > Airport > New

2. Fill out the required information

3. Click Save and the airport will be created

Add an Airport Category

1. Navigate to the Airport Categories and click New (see screenshot 1)

2. Alternatively, navigate to an Airport record and click on the Airport Categories link at the top of the page and click New - the Airport field will be populated automatically (see screenshot 2)

3. Fill in the required information

4. If you enter an Operator, the category will only apply when it matches the Operator of a flight leg’s aircraft

5. If you enter an Aircraft Type, the category will only apply when it matches the Aircraft Type of a flight leg’s aircraft

6. Aircraft Type and Operator can both be set for the same Category. This allows different Operators to add several Airport Categories for their Aircraft 

7. Click on Save and your Airport Category will be saved against the selected Airport

Add Daylight Savings Times

1. Flight Time Calculation plus Takeoff and Landing Times on the Flight Brief and Crew Briefing are extracted directly from the Airport.

   This makes adding Daylight Saving Time (= Summer Time) information vital to Data Integrity and correctness of your flight planning.

    

   When creating an Airport in NuvolOps, it is the User creating the Airport responsibility to enter the Daylight Savings Time information.

   Navigate to an Airport record and scroll down to the Airport DST related list and click New

   1. Populate the Start (UTC) and End (UTC) fields in the following format: dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm. (e.g. 30/03/2014 01:00)

   2. Click Save and the airport’s Current Time zone will be recalculated.

   3. Once done, the setup of your Airport is now complete, and you'll be able to create Trips using this Airport via the Trip Builder.
